Who we are

A London renovation contractor, working on period homes since 1995

London and Kent Construction Ltd was established as a sole trader in 1995, incorporated in 2003 and has been part of The New Greenwich Group since January 2023. We renovate and refurbish Victorian, Edwardian and Georgian houses and flats, including listed buildings and homes in conservation areas. Most whole property renovations we carry out cost £150,000 to £500,000, and some cost more.

What we do

Whole houses and flats, taken back to what is sound and rebuilt under one contract

What does a full renovation cost?

Most whole property renovations we carry out cost £150,000 to £500,000, and some cost more. Single rooms are usually around £10,000 to £15,000. Every job is priced element by element from a measured scope.

Renovation and refurbishment

Can you take over a job another builder has left?

Yes. We have twice taken over unfinished projects in Notting Hill. We assess what has been built, say plainly what can be kept and price the rest properly. The initial assessment is free.

Taking over a stalled site

Do you build extensions and loft conversions?

Yes, usually inside the same contract as the wider renovation, so structure, services and finishes run in one sequence that does not need undoing.

Do you work on listed buildings?

Yes, and in conservation areas. Consents, methods and materials are planned into the scope from the start rather than discovered on site.

For architects, surveyors and developers

We price from your drawings and build to them

Every quotation is priced element by element from a measured scope, with exclusions set out as clearly as inclusions. Work runs under a JCT contract suited to the job, with an insurance backed guarantee, and every job has a WhatsApp group so the design team has an open line to site.

For property developers, we refurbish houses and flats for sale or to let, with a price that holds and any change priced in writing before the work is done.
